High penetration water-based primer for more demanding surfaces.

MAXIDUR WATER-ΒASED is a transparent acrylic water based primer for walls, with strong adhesion and of high penetration. It is odourless, environmental and user, ideal for interior use. Strengthens and insulates porous surfaces painted with lime, glue or old paints, giving better adhesion and spreading to the final paint. It drastically reduces the absorbency of the surfaces to be painted, saving a large amount of the final color.

Type: Water based primer.
Application: Roller, brush or airless spray gun.
Dilution: 100% with clean water.
Spreading Rate: 15-20 m²/L depending on the absorbency of the surface.
Drying: Touch dry after 1 hour. Recoatable after 4 hours. Drying times depends on the weather conditions (humidity – temperature).
Shades: Transparent.
Storage: It is recommended to store the product at 5°C – 35°C.
VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds): EU maximum VOC content limit values (Directive 2004/42/CE) for this product (category A/h “Binding primers”, Type WB): 30 g/l. This product contains maximum 5 g/l VOCs (ready to use).

Surfaces must be cleaned, dry and smooth, free from dust, oil, grease, rust, mould residues, salts and from loose or flaking paint. It is also recommended to smooth the surface with the proper sand paper and clean it well from dust. New plasters or cements should be primed and painted after drying for 1-2 weeks. Apply uniformly one coats of MAXIDUR WATER-ΒASED diluted 100% with water. For very a absorbent surfaces apply the MAXIDUR WATER-ΒASED diluted maximum 50% with deionised water. You can then apply any color of MAXI COLOR. Ensure good aeration during application and drying of the material. Adverse weather (low temperature - high humidity) during the application may influence the attributes of the material.
